"Good teams become great ones when the members trust each other enough to surrender the 'me' for the 'we'." (Phil Jackson)
Brazil changed my life...
During the XXVII South American Championship for club teams in Cochabamba, Bolivia, the President of the Carioca team Macae Sports, invited me to join the U-17 and U-20 teams of his club team. At the Championship, Macae's team got the second place after losing the final match agains Rexona, the other Brazilian team of the tournament.
The following newspaper articles summarize my experience in Brazil. An experience that would change my life forever.
"She cheers, she helps and she.... plays"
1999 Macae's Juvenile Team
Unconquered Champion of the Carioca Tournament
The juvenile team finished unconquered champion and the infanto team finished in the forth place.
After this amazing experience, I returned to Argentina to finish high school. Once I took all the exams and graduated, I realized that I could not choose between studying or playing volleyball. I wanted to do both at the highest possible level, and after a few months of intense research, the idea of going to the United States to study and play volleyball came to life.
